   @verita84_automata @p with wireguard it's not tips. openvpn used to need really unique configs to make it go over 300mbps. i think it's probably your route and the fact DO droplets are starved. wireguard has a lot more overhead on CPU for encryption but it's also in-kernel now so it's a lot less than it used to be.
   
   i dont know how you would get gigabit over your lan from local machine -> wireguard <- local machine, that doesn't seem right to me, but maybe im missing something.
   
   speedtest over wireguard to my dedicated server in toronto on a single line. 2gbps/200mbps is what im paying for

     @graf @sun @verita84_automata Yeah, all of FSE's traffic is going over wireguard and the kernel wg threads never get close to 1% CPU.
