    @kentpitman There is a Fortran for the LMI Lambda, with traces of GJC name on files. Which might be copies from you.

    FWIW ...

      @kentpitman "The Fortran Virtual Machine

      A number of conventions are adhered to in all translations of Fortran
      programs in order to assure that the proper effect of these routines is
      carried through during the translation.

      Data Storage

      In the runtime environment of a translated Fortran routine, there will
      exist a set of library routines for managing the data areas used by the
      translation. Essentially, all memory references in the source Fortran will

      @screwtape @kentpitman They got "digitized" (I do not want to call restored, since they where in bad shape .. and we read, and re-read them until they got data .. any data) a bunch of years ago.

      @screwtape @kentpitman Plenty of the disintegrated .. literally. The tape oxidation, some ceased to exist.

      @screwtape @kentpitman There was one or two tapes, that contained a well enough MIT CADR System 98 that allowed me to restore that, with bunch of other hacks ... I never really looked through the tapes for other "bits", mostly since they are corrupt .. and lots of "other data".

      @amszmidt @screwtape @kentpitman I chatted many years ago with Peter Paine from the UK who had a stash of Symbolics HW. He told a story about a group that had spent weeks or months hunting a bug in a Fortran program. He helped them by running it on a Symbolics which quickly caught the problem as part of the memory protection (or something like that).
