    @midtsveen

    What if reactionaries start creating reactionary groups, promoting counter-revolution through speech and literature, or even actively trying to initiate a counter-revolution? Without any use of censorship, centralization of power, or removing their individual freedoms (specifically their freedom to engage in their counter-revolutionary activities), how would counter-revolution be prevented?

      @kingtor

      Then how would a counter-revolution be stopped without denying people the freedom to promote and engage in counter-revolutionary actions?

      @Radical_EgoCom trying to crush a revolution (counter- or not) by denying rights is like trying to kill a fish by drowning it.

      That's not an answer to my question.

      How would a counter-revolution (in a post-capitalist society) be stopped without denying people the freedom to promote and engage in counter-revolutionary actions?

      @Radical_EgoCom if socialism is truly what the people want, the counter-revolution can talk all it wants and never get enough support to succeed. Any political system that relies on suppressing alternate ideas is destined to become a police state regardless of how antithetical that is to the ideals that system espouses. One can argue this is why the United States is so rife for the pendulum swings we see in party power dynamics: roughly half the voters are told their opinions are invalid

      If there are enough people to succeed in a counter-revolution, how would it be stopped without restricting reactionaries freedoms of speech and assembly?

      @Radical_EgoCom I did answer that question. If there aren't enough people to succeed in that counter-revolution, doesn't that stop it?

      @kingtor

      To answer your question, yes, if there aren't enough reactionaries, then a counter-revolution obviously couldn't happen, but the nature of my question is based within a scenario where there are enough reactionaries to have a counter-revolution.
