     @deprecated_ii A long time ago my dad and I got into an argument about why I hadn't found a job yet and I raised a point similar to this. It was extremely demoralizing that I should have to submit 100 resumes into rigged AI scanners for one to make it through (only for it to be rejected by some HR bitch most likely), and he had no response except "well you're gonna have to if you want a job, won't you?" and so badly I wanted to call him a faggot.

     @suquili @deprecated_ii It's hard to love the boomers in our lives some times when they've been so slow to catch up with the fact thing not thinging the way thing thinged back when they were actively trying to thing is now very much the thing.
     
     Fortunately these days most around me at least have cottoned onto the fact shit's busted, yo, so I have to have far fewer annoying conversations getting people up to speed.
