   Let's see if I'm able to consume some culture which portraits bicycles in a positive light, this year. And if I'm able to post about it here.

   I've tried threads about films and such before, with mixed results, so no promises.

     Just finished the French film The kid with a bike.

     It nicely showed the freedom a bike can give a kid, for good and ill. Children biking gets a low score from me, but there's one scene where his foster mom joins him on a ride, showing it to be a good way to spend quality time together as a family. Otherwise the grownups drive :/

     Watched it over 3 settings, days apart. So, you know, maybe really not my film. Quite slow and serious. And the ending was strange to me. But still...

     @VirginiaHolloway Cool! Very much appreciate the tip! Though I don't really care about bike sports, I do appreciate that if some piece of culture shows it in a good light and becomes popular enough it could inspire some people to bike more in their regular lives (which is what I care about). So I'll have to think about if I want to watch more sports focused cultural works like that or not. But thank you! :)

     @forteller Breaking Away, an American film from 1979 is a fun, very bike-centric bit of culture.

     @VirginiaHolloway Oh no! I also found a Christian bicycle sports movie named Break Away! Jesus Christ!

     Seeing how bikes in culture is one of my many passions and God Awful Movies from @piatpod is my most listened to podcast by far I feel like kinda maybe I should watch this? But do I want to!?

     Anime series, quite NSFW

     Silly and fun 6 episodes, with a very clear male gaze. The full intro is the main character on his bike, and every episode ends with him biking away. He also uses the bike quite a lot during the episodes. 25 yrs old, so is he grown up enough to get full score? Not sure. Mentally he's not grown up, at least. Hehe.

     Not great art, but fun, and very bicycle positive :)

     The movie "What's up, Doc?" has the main characters involved in a car chase aboard a cargo bike. Don't know if it's what you are looking for but it's a hilarious movie anyway.
