     I don't know if there's something you don't know about Maduro (I can't read minds), but if you're a fan of socialism, then you should be a fan of Maduro since he's the leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) whose goal is to turn Venezuela into a socialist democracy.

     @Radical_EgoCom Yeah, various Administrations have pretty well fucked that up in our name, but I'm not a huge fan of Maduro's. Is there something about him I don't know?

     You "know" Maduro hasn't been popular inside and outside the PSUV and that Chavez is more popular, or did you just hear that from a biased Western media source that constantly lies about socialists and socialist movements?

     @Radical_EgoCom That part I know. I also know he hasn't been as popular a leader, both inside and outside that party, as Chavez. That's the part I might be missing, though, and/or unduly influenced by corporate media.

     Do you think I know Maduro personally? He's a politician in a foreign country. I, like most people on the planet, don't know anything about him or any politician other than his political affiliations. Regardless of his qualities outside of the PSUV, he supports socialism and he's good for the Venezuelan socialist movement.

     @Radical_EgoCom Isn't that exactly what I said? It's what I meant. I'm inviting you to educate me on Maduro's good qualities other than party affiliation, because that's a bit like saying "I like Biden because he's a Democrat trying to minimize the impact of the Republican Party."

     Non-biased news is impossible. Every news source is run by people, and people are naturally biased, especially about politics. Western mainstream news will be biased against socialism and socialist news will be biased in favor of socialism. The two news sources that I feel are the least biased and the most honest are LiberationNews and Jacobin.
