   @kibcol1049 The Afghan cricket team is hosted by India and comprises of mostly expat Afghans! It is a silver lining for the struggling people of that country! Taliban would be happy to stand them in a line and chop their heads off! So yeah, English and Aussie cricket boards are doing what most Western govts. do… showboating!

     The English and Australian cricket boards have said they will not schedule bilateral series against Afghanistan, says Jonathan Liew in The Guardian. This is a stand against the “deterioration of basic human rights for women” in the Taliban-led country, where women are banned from speaking in public or being seen through windows. Yet they are happy to play Afghanistan in global tournaments, as if the dignity of 20 million Afghan women is “acceptable collateral damage”. What a cop-out.
