     @ai6yr Southern California Edison denies that their equipment started the Eaton Fire. They say that their transmission lines through the area were de-energized. It could still have started in the vegetation beneath the power lines and towers.

     @ai6yr The transmission towers in Eaton Canyon are the huge high-voltage lines, nothing like the small and very old power lines that probably caused the Camp Fire in 2018.

     There's video and other eyewitnesses saying the (tower) lines were arcing, which sparked the fire.

     One person who took the video isn't publicly "releasing" it, pending investigation, but the network that posted the article has seen it.

     @EricFielding if the lines were deenergized, I wonder how I had power in my area until after the fire started? I checked my pics and one had the streetlight on. @ai6yr

     @andybrwn @ai6yr Altadena is SCE. It is in LA County, not in the City of LA. Pasadena has its own PWP, but Altadena is SCE.

     @EricFielding Yep, of course. I was deposed as a witness (for both sites) in the Thomas Fire in Santa Barbara County / Ventura County.

     @ai6yr @EricFielding Is it SCE or LADWP. I read something yesterday suggesting LADWP didn’t PSPS as readily as SCE.

     @andybrwn @ai6yr Oh, I don't know where the LADWP transmission lines are, but I know that at least some of the big lines in Eaton Canyon are SCE.
