   @zoe @andrewducker It's a bit slow via the web interface too, but you can use some mastodon clients with it. Downside is that once you do that, you get the twitter experience again.

     @andrewducker @goatsarah runs Friendica as her fediverse presence and likes it. It’s not quite Facebook as, being fediverse, it’s more open conversations than “sharing photos of grandkids with the rest of the Bridge club”. But it’s as close as you’ll get in a federated system I suspect..
