   @regendans @joenepraat @MishaVelthuis or when you have one developer and one user and the developer wants the guarantee that the user can also run their software.

   FWIW, I'm team #GNU #Guix but that just differs from #NixOS in taste and politics.

     @joenepraat @MishaVelthuis I've tried NixOS in the past. Though not for me it is a very impressive concept. I think it can be very useful for example if you have a 1000 Linux computers at a school and you want them all to be the same when it comes to installed packages and some configuration. And like one semester all on GNOME, next semester all on KDE with very little admin effort. #nixos
