FUN FACT: Libreboot was the first coreboot distro, starting in December 2013. It provides free boot firmware, replacing proprietary BIOS/UEFI.

It's a coreboot distro like Debian is a Linux distro. It provides a fully automated build system (source-based package manager) for compiling upstream sources.

Other coreboot distros have existed for a few years now.

I've decided to promote them on Libreboot's website, as part of my general desire to promote free boot firmware.

@SuperDicq It says: "Not every distro is listed; only those of high quality, or otherwise of interest, will be listed. Quality over quantity."

@libreleah @SuperDicq I think GNU Boot is of very high interest, since it's the main one that fully follows the FSF/GNU philosophy of software freedom. If I ever use a Coreboot distro, it'll be GNU Boot. If I'm going to be using a non-free one like the deceptively named Libreboot, I may as well just stick with the stock UEFI firmware shipped with a device.
