Is it just me or USPS has reached enshitification ?
40min long wait to drop off something at the post office, super crowded. I needed clarification on what happens at customs for my package. They weren’t able to answer, they didn’t really care TBH.

@psoul USPS clerks know postage and maybe the export forms. They aren't going to know what's allowed out and especially not what's allow into France.
I’m sending two watercolors that I painted for my mom, as a gift.
The USPS website warned me that “works of art and collectibles” cannot be exported to France. I’m not smuggling the waterlilies I swear.
I wish those watercolors were collectibles or works of art of value, but they’re not.
Will they cross into France? Will they call me if they are being held at customs or will I just have wasted $85 to try to ship them?
@kingrat yeah, I understand. I guess France will send it back if they deny it... I’m just confused as to where to check for that info.
I also wish the USPS clerk was a little less dismissive but he had to manage 20 people in line and was probably fed up by all of us.
