I just tested, and alarms appear to work perfectly before first unlock on GrapheneOS!!!
On the other hand, this means alarms are not encrypted, so forensic investigations could unveil how fucked your sleep schedule is.

@iro_miya I can tell you from experience that while the alarm will work as expected, it doesn't use a custom-defined sound file, so presumably it isn't reading user data in order to do so. -
