     Without Title IX, gender discrimination will freaking skyrocket -- and it's already a serious problem because school administrations are weak dickheads.

     The tl;dr is basically it's one of the education civil rights codes. It prohibits (broadly) barriers to accessing education because of sex, gender, sex stereotype, sexual violence or harassment.

     Students who have been sexually harassed or assaulted on campus or by another student (or faculty) have relied on Title IX to ensure their *schools* remember their duty to keep them safe and *in school* -- not erect barriers to their education because they don't want to discipline the harasser (faculty or student) or kick out the assailant (which is generally allowed under the student code of conduct.)

     @DeliaChristina when I noped out of the scene at 17 (2003), they were organizing for this, so I am unfortunately not surprised that they're moving fast now.

     Ironically, it seems that I'm getting for my 40th birthday everything people spent the first 2/5 of my life telling me would make the country the best place ever. 🙃 :yell2: 😭

     A federal district judge in KY has issued a vacatur of the #TitleIX rule, deeming *the entire rule* invalid and *setting it aside* nationwide.

     WTAF.
