   Anyone have a recco for a pocket-sized, standalone MP3 player for my dad?

   He wants something:

   * with a screen that's easy to navigate, and

   * easy sync with iTunes on his Mac.

   It's primarily for podcasts during workouts.

   He wears Bluetooth capable hearing aids and wants to use these with the player.

   I backed the Tangara at Crowdsupply for him ages ago, but it hasn't shipped yet.

     @pluralistic sony has unfortunately stopped making most of their non-android walkman lineup. i use an NW-A55 and it’s quite nice except that it doesn’t separate my podcasts from my music. takes an sd card and has bluetooth in either direction. the android ones might be an option, but starting at $350 new is maybe less appealing than finding an older device on ebay.

     They make a range of devices that Bluetooth and can sync with services or just file transfer.

     M3 or M5 might be it.
