     @Gargron have you counted the number of new instances? My rough approximation from looking at a couple of start sites is around 1200-1500. That's the beauty of Mastodon/Fediverse scaling to me... It's not just one big monolith, there is horizontal scaling and more people / orgs investing in the whole network.

     @Gargron A lot of them may end up going back to Twitter after they're done having their knee-jerk reaction. But I'm hoping that a lot of them will like what they've seen and decide to stay. Twitter feels like standing in a football stadium looking for people to play D&D with you, Mastodon feels like a side room at a good bar where all your friends can just talk freely about whatever they want.
