@Gargron Dude THANK YOU for everything you've been doing. I imagine a lot of us would be losing our shit if this were happening and Mastodon weren't a thing.
@Gargron How badly overloaded is mastodon.social? Just wondering if I really should be migrating to a different instance, or if my future on this one is safe.
I'm only on this one because back when I started using this, it was the main server.
Content warnings (CWs) are great, but on the flip side I'm seeing a lot of Mastodon instances forcing users to CW all kinds of things, even innocuous things like food, and I feel that's wrong.
It ends up suppressing speech about important issues.
@Gargron This is probably the way to go. Nearly every time I've been QRTed on birdsite it's been to criticize. Criticize me to my face, not to your followers.
If someone wants to criticize me by replying to my post and then retweeting it, fine. At least I had the courtesy of a reply to me.
Whenever Brightline (local regional rail) obliterates some moron that stopped on the tracks, the media seems to frame it as being Brightline's fault somehow, when 100% of the fault is the moron who drove onto the tracks.
