Which film camera for total beginners? I agree that autofocus film SLRs are a good place to start.
I don’t like them anymore (just don’t like SLRs in general, including digital), but my first 100 rolls of film were with a Nikon F-601 (N6006 in the US) and the fact that everything worked as it should with just a 50mm f1.8 lens, meant I had a lot of fun and nothing threw me off.
Afterwards, I developed a taste for rangefinders but this advice is spot on
