     @AlexanderKingsbury They are “allowed to quit”, but they would soon be homeless, have no health insurance, be harassed, beaten up by the police for being homeless, taken to jail for being homeless and finally being made a slave in prison because prison slavery is legal. People’s are wage slaves in capitalism. Capitalism is designed such that you are either a wage slave or a prison slave.

     @AlexanderKingsbury That is not what the comic is getting at. The comic is getting at that the current conditions of wage slavery (which is slavery) are far worse than the conditions of slavery that this hypothetical evil alien invaders are proposing that in their minds are the worst possible conditions humans could be subjected to as slaves.
