Anna e só (anna@friend.camp)'s status on Monday, 06-Jan-2025 09:41:27 JST Anna e só I've had conversations about CVs with Outreachy interns and alums, and while that exact question didn't come up, other questions that are similar in nature have. So asking a more general question: on a surface level, the presentation of one's career may feel incompatible with the presentation of their educational background. How do people conciliate that? Boosts welcome, by the way.

Jess👾 (jesstheunstill@infosec.exchange)'s status on Monday, 06-Jan-2025 09:47:22 JST Jess👾 @anna Just stick a line at the bottom "State University, Computer Science Major, 2010-2013" It's not actually any sort of lie since you don't say the degree itself. Just list the school, the dates, and the major

Jess👾 (jesstheunstill@infosec.exchange)'s status on Monday, 06-Jan-2025 09:52:38 JST Jess👾 @anna Yeah, my last few jobs, my college degree was literally just a single line at the bottom with the school, the dates I attended and the degree I earned. I'm pretty certain nobody even read it

Robin (robin@hex.st)'s status on Monday, 06-Jan-2025 10:12:07 JST Robin @anna please ignore if you're not looking from advice from strangers—
I'd just list the program at the bottom, in your 'education' section separate from your work exp, listing the school and year started. No need to give ammo to be rejected
