Usually, theologians who commentate the Pentateuch note that the anti-brother-sister incest law is not a moral law regarding the character of God, i.e. "don't marry sibling because God wouldn't do that" or "It mars the image of God", which describes other sexual laws, but rather a law requiring people to deal with the harsh reality of a sinful world, i.e. "love your neighbor as yourself" and "Moses gave it for the hardness of your hearts, but in the beginning it was not so." Notice that when Moses gave Deuteronomy 27:22, he barely made it his 120's, compared to the other patriarchs, with everyone else in the Exodus generation having lifespans we moderns are more familiar with. This indicates that God has brought the curse on humanity to its final, current form as well as the human genome devolving to the point of permanent fragility. This is the first time in the world when brother-sister relations would produce children severely harmed by genetic mutation.

But morally, you are supposed to marry your spiritual sister-in-Christ, which wouldn't be allowed if brother-sister incest was not allowed in the universal, absolute, and toʿevah sense that described other sexual sins like the other forms of incest.

Think about it like this. Marrying your first cousins was perfectly allowed under the Law of Moses, but I think it should be shunned today for the same reasons brother-sister relations were banned by Moses.
