   I'm test driving new editors for the start of the year. So far:

   Helix is very nearly awesome, but doesn't support AIs. I want to use Ollama for simple code generation, so that's kind of a dealbreaker.

   Zed is very nice so far and incredibly fast.

   BBEdit is still amazing, but I feel like it's starting to lag feature-wise.

   Nova remains my daily driver / fallback for now.

   And as always, Emacs is always there and does everything imaginable.

     @fubar Heh! It's not my thing. I'm not allergic to it or anything. If I'm already in a shell and need to make a quick tweak to a file, vim it is. It doesn't fit my mental model for working with whole projects or writing code though.

     @fubar I get it. I’m kind of the same way about vim. I can use it, it's fine, and I see why others like it. It's just not for me.
