@simon people are very afraid, and your work seems subtle enough that lacking clear condemnations people make assumptions. It's a very scary time, and that doesn't result in critical thinking.
@simon it's possible you could write about that for a naive audience and then forward people to that when they're getting up in arms, but this being the internet, i don't know that it would help very much 😬
@quinn totally - and I'm sympathetic to that, this stuff really is weird and frightening and a lot of the negative implications and harmful applications are very real
@simon I absolutely *love* imitation intelligence and weird intern. as my partner points out, if you don't go through the code when it happens, there's no way you'lll maintain it... you're just going to end up re-writing bits of lost code when you lose context.
