    Union organising for software professionals is a great target market for the #Fediverse. Here are some of the issues.

    1. Remote work or paid commuting.
    2. Anonymity for union organisers.
    3. Ergonimic workstations, not laptops.
    4. (Australian) Right to disconnect.
    5. No H1Bs, they cannot strike.
    6. No AI. It is designed to lower our wages. Besides it does not work, wastes our time and is bad for the climate.

    Did I miss any important issues?

      @PythonLinks the specific issues in any particular workplace are always going to vary but that's certainly a good starting list. Another big one that comes to mind is over-use/abuse of temps, vendors, and contractors where full time employees should be used. Offshoring is back in full force. I'm sure there a million more.

      @otfrom @PythonLinks agreed, I interpreted that more as "reduce use/abuse of H1B", even that has proven quite controversial though so it's probably not an ideal main tentpole.

      @PythonLinks @tim I think you still need to organise with the h1b employees. They need to get better terms too
