@LordOfTheKangs I like reading the old testament too. It's great to remind people of how jews directly defied God even while he was giving them heavenly food, water, protection, etc. after liberating them from Egypt. Or the myriad of times so many of them abandoned The Lord in favor of idol worship or other wickedness.

People who come away from the Bible wanting to worship them are retarded. So are people who insist on saying that Jesus would have had the genetic makeup of the other people where He was born. Which part of God's fetus, created from nothing, do you not get?

@mitchconner @LordOfTheKangs Allow me to get all heckin' science for a second: Christ likely has Mary's DNA. Shared DNA is important for baby's development en utero to prevent weird proteins from attacking it (think rH+ babies in rH- mother, but there's actually a lot of other compatibility proteins and such). We could always say
      > :Ackshually: "God wouldn't be limited to what we know! This is already a supernatural occurrence!"
I lean towards Christ not looking like somebody who stuck out like a sore thumb to everyone else in the area. He was probably average looking yet beautiful because of His 'aura' or presence. Also the same logic says that Mary had some pseudo deific cells added to her body, because of stem cells sharing between fetus and mother.

@mitchconner @LordOfTheKangs I thought Pilate's letter was deboonked or at least not confirmed to be more than a copy of an original. Neat either way.

There are recorded accounts. Pilate described Jesus in detail in a letter to Ceasar:

      >One day I observed in the midst of a group of people a young man who was leaning against a tree, calmly addressing the multitude. I was told it was Jesus. This I could easily have suspected so great was the difference between Him and those who were listening to Him. His golden colored hair and beard gave to his appearance a celestial aspect. He appeared to be about 30 years of age. Never have I seen a sweeter or more serene countenance. What a contrast between Him and His bearers with their black beards and tawny complexions!

Guess it was Mary's egg. That's fine

      >Another description of Jesus is found in "The Archko Volume" which contains official court documents from the days of Jesus. This information substantiates that He came from racial lines which had blue eyes and golden hair. In a chapter entitled "Gamaliel's Interview" it states concerning Jesus (Yeshua) appearance:

      >"I asked him to describe this person to me, so that I might know him if I should meet him. He said: 'If you ever meet him [Yeshua] you will know him. While he is nothing but a man, there is something about him that distinguishes him from every other man. He is the picture of his mother, only he has not her smooth, round face. His hair is a little more golden than hers, though it is as much from sunburn as anything else. He is tall, and his shoulders are a little drooped; his visage is thin and of a swarthy complexion, though this is from exposure. His eyes are large and a soft blue, and rather dull and heavy....' This Jew [Nazarite] is convinced that he is the Messiah of the world. ...this was the same person that was born of the virgin in Bethlehem some twenty-six years before..."

@whiteman_ Heads up you'll have to read extra on one day a week (5 chapters) to hit the whole Bible (maybe Sundays).

Updating this: three a day and two more on Sundays -or- any other Bible calendar. I did 3 yesterday, 4 today.

@mitchconner @LordOfTheKangs >Which part of God's fetus, created from nothing, do you not get?
I didn't notice this yesterday, but that statement is at odds with the Nicene Creed and almost heretical, even if unintentional.
      >Begotten, not made, one in essence with The Father through whom all things were made.

@mitchconner @LordOfTheKangs I am not trying to rub it in or insult you brother; I am a lowly sinner saved by grace through my faith in Christ. I simply want to be accurate for the sake of anyone who reads this, as I'll be quoting off the OP every time I start a new book of the Bible.

Depending on who you ask the amount of Christians who have actually read the Bible cover to cover is 10-31%. Abysmal numbers no matter which one you go with.

@Omega_Variant @BowsacNoodle no matter what someone's religious beliefs are, they can't call themselves educated in the western fashion until they've read the Bible at least once. It was a constant cultural touch point for everyone for centuries and centuries
