     @hakui @eric @prettygood @vertka GIMP was not designed to be a photoshop replacement, but it at least respects the users freedom and it seems that everyone without skill issues seems to be able to use it as a replacement just fine?
     
     For photoshop to be on par with GIMP, it would need to be free software that respects the users freedom.

     @prettygood @eric @vertka non-destructive adjustments are introduced, not exactly adjustment layers (can't do masks) yet but it's a step forward
     
     pasting things in immediately goes to a new layer instead of "floating selection" though so that's pretty good
