No, NIMBY neighborhood Facebook groups, we don't need a neighborhood watch to solve car break-ins and package thefts, we need to FIX THE BROKEN SYSTEM that leaves those people with no other options to survive.

My dude, that's not petty theft anymore. It's felony murder. And yes, we should still fix the system. "They might escalate to murder" is such a ludicrous excuse to over prosecute petty theft.
