     @ianb reversing women’s emancipation is one of the main goals of the whole transphobia thing. Lots of us have been trying to warn cis people for years, but nobody takes us seriously. 🤷🏻♀️

     Ah yes, the one win wonder who seems to spend more time injured than playing. As far as I am aware she had a lot of sponsor / product endorsement deals, that have now fallen flat as she is no longer winning or progressing far in competitions.

     @goatsarah @ianb Likewise, the anti-abortion movement's longer-term goal is banning hormonal birth control, which I am afraid dovetails a little too well with the campaign to ban HRT for trans people.

     @goatsarah It always seemed bloody obvious to me. Biological essentialism never ends well for women, and fancying it up with questions like "what is a woman?" was an obvious tactic to define women as, essentially, breeding pods who should do nothing except have babies and be subservient to men.

     @ianb The misogynistic men who use the "what is a woman" question think it's a total gotcha until they get the answer: someone who covers their drink when they walk into the room.

     @goatsarah @ianb it never ceases to amaze (terrifying) me the amount of extra steps that are required to remain alive as a woman in our world - like not walking alone at night, not being alone in “weird dark places”, etc.
