One type of music I like, and it doesn't have a specific genre although it's usually pretty mellow, is the type of somg you would hear in the background of the last scene of a TV drama episode. A case is being wrapped up or 2 friends or lovers are talking about the events of the day or their relationship, or a character is cleaning out their desk indicating that the actor is leaving the show, or a couple separates after their last fight, or any combination there of... I'm sure you know the kind!

@sollat I went absolutely nuts trying to track one of those songs once! I knew it was on Bones, but I didn't know the name of the episode (because this was before the days of talking TVs), and I didn't remember when it had aired or really much about it. Thank goodness a Sesame Street documentary I really wanted to see came on right after that, and I remembered when that was, so I found the episode from there. The song turned out to be You by Fisher.

@Fragglemuppet
I usually like that song or the one when something has gone wrong or the one where they accidentally walk into a nightclub and try not to look out of place. Shazam is my co-pilot in these situations. -

@sollat But in general, I've heard a lot of songs that I've never heard on a show, but I could imagine them easily in something like that. Also been hearing some good hypothetical opening songs lately.
