Having to remind myself that when I see a boosted post I like, to check and see if that person has other interesting things to share. I feel like I haven't followed someone new in a while.

Jon Lindemann (mrdiamondj@mrdiamondj.social)'s status on Monday, 30-Dec-2024 04:09:43 JST Jon Lindemann @Gwendolyn Same. There's not a lot of general interest posting here IMO. And yeah, I could follow hundreds of people, but who actually wants to do that? Meanwhile, over on Bluesky, there's more general interest posting, but not a lot of people post there either. I'm in this weird purgatory where no Twitter-alikes really do it for me (and what Twitter has become takes it right off the table for everyday use). It sucks.

Like, I love me some programmer humor and trans shit, but when I'm scrolling through my feed I'm just not really finding what I wanna see.
I don't know if they're just not out there, or if it's hard to find them for some reason. I've even resorted to scrolling the federated feed at times.
I like it here. I just want to be "not bored" while here.
