     Our kids usually inform us about their questionable actions only afterwards 😬

     For better or worse, I'm usually in the loop on things. As such, it's always been a matter of how much proverbial rope to allow.

     I think she didn't expect to run out of that rope this time, which would explain the increasingly..."frantic"(not quite right, but we'll allow it)... tone of the texts from which this is a sampling.

     Yes. Definitely bad tactics.
