   How come none of you told me how good Turn on the Bright Lights was? I've spent the last 22 years thinking Interpol are wankers because of how they dress, but this is surprisingly good.

     I mean look, is it a little derivative of Joy Division, Ride, and The Cure? Yeah a bit; but also all of those are really good fucking bands so who care?

     This sounds like the band folks wanted me to believe The Killers were (but aren't.)

     @kinsale42 yeah I can buy that; I think I HAVE heard some of their more recent stuff and hated it. But this album is... ridiculously good so far.

     (for the record, I love the first two albums but once the guitar sound changed--I think the guy left--I was out)
