   Latest Veritasium video is a straight up bullshit hit piece on Kary B. Mullis. Insanely one-sided nonsense made to paint Mullis as a druggie who didn't know what he was talking about, when in reality I think he saw more clearly than anyone around him in his field.

     Not shocking when you think about where "science youtube" gets it's funding from. Character assassinating a dead man to discredit ideas is the peak of ad hominem anyways. (I haven't watched the video and not sure I will)

     If you use FreeTube and sort by "New Comments" you find some people who see through it. This video isn't up on his Odysee though, where you get a lot more discerning comments.
     
     Some people see through the bullshit, but not a lot.

     The sad thing is, it's one of the best descriptions and explanations of how RT-PCR works, but he just kinda glazes over all the accuracy problems, and dismisses some of Mullis's other ideas as crazy.
     
     He pains the guy has being a massive asshole who wouldn't play nice with anyone ... who was then assigned an entire team to work on a project ... and then he didn't get the initial credit because he was "procrastinating" .... guy might have been a jerk, but the video is so bias It's like some truth mixed in with total unverifiability ... peak YouScienceToob.
     
     I wonder how difficult it would be to edit it into a more accurate video .. maybe using AI 🤔
