     @buttered_poasties @transgrammaractivist @catmanmancat @weaf I feel it was more to prevent a collapse. If people stop "believing" the government is in control and legitimate, things fall apart very quickly. We are close to that, and I don't think Trump could fix it even if he wanted to (I don't think he cares much, although he'd prefer to come out ahead of anyone else in a collapse).

     @BowsacNoodle @transgrammaractivist @catmanmancat @weaf i didnt catch on until the 2018 midterms followed by the incomprehensible shut down of government while he still had congressional majorities, but it's all made sense since then. the fact the system let him back in shows just how fucked we're gonna be and how delusional his cheerleaders are. he was put back in to fuck us extra hard, not to liberate us.
