   During 2024, I donated around 150 euros (not counting certain Patterns and/or Humble Bundles) for different people and organizations. 150 isn't much for an entire year, but this is mostly for non-profits where every cent counts.

   If everyone just bought a coffee or two a month for their favorite instance/software/organization, we make sure to keep internet free and open while maintaining individual's privacy.

     @troed I've heard that there's been issues with how they spend money the last couple of years, but nevertheless, unless another actor rises up and starts a new total-collection-of-knowledge type of encyclopedia I'm going to keep donating a small amount to ensure that it keeps on existing. Even though I think they should pay editors better.

     Re decentrialization, it would be neat with having an event system where those with local copies get updates with.

     @thanius I very much agree with your sentiment, but I have since years had issues with Wikipedia's donation drives. They're sitting on piles of money.

     I think Wikipedia needs to get decentralized as well.
