Your definition of "ideology" is incorrect. An ideology is not "the rejection of the way the world really is in favor of how you believe the world should be." What you're describing is "idealism," which can take an ideological form, but all ideologies aren't idealistic. There are ideologies that are based on realism and the way the world functions, such as #Marxism, for example.

Yes, of course, embrace points of view based on empathy and compassion but NEVER reject reality. That way lies madness.
