      1. The utterly f'd guitar chord by John Mclaughlin at :51 in this Jack Bruce song. Hearing this at age 16 was a musical revelation for me. https://youtu.be/WfUa1-3LO6w

      @dmandl Wow, what a hilarious blotched note. (And I thought before I heard it that it would be something I *wouldn't* hear.)

      @dmandl The Beach boys change surely could have been mixed in better!

      @watchpocket It's intentional, not botched!

      @dmandl The John McLaughlin? Intentional? It sounds terrible.

      @dmandl It doesn't sounds intentional at all. But maybe someone as masterful as he is doesn't botch notes.

      The Beach Boys edit was intentional, yes. I meant the John McLaughlin was botched. You described it as "f'd."

      @watchpocket I was talking about McLaughlin. i didn't mean he made a mistake, I was talking about the aesthetics of it, and it's a compliment: "I played a totally fucked guitar solo on that song!" See also: "sick."

      @watchpocket I love it. And IMO there's no way it's a mistake. It's "sick."
