   Thankful to my brother for giving me a first name (his name is Adrian) that has good SEO, works in many cultural contexts and geographies.

   Spanish and Portuguese and Indonesian speakers say it the Spanish way

   Everyone else in the Anglo way (eh instead of ah)

   I also have a Chinese name that I only use in a completely different cultural context (only when I speak Mandarin / Teochew / Korean).

     The Mandarin / Teochew / Cantonese / Korean thing is, the words are the same but you say the words differently in different languages.

     For example, Kim Jong Il is 金正日 (Jin Zheng Ri) in Chinese characters and Mandarin, which is gam1]正[jing3]日[yat6] in Cantonese, which is Kim Cheng Jit in Hokkien / Teochew.

     (I’ve got a name like that too. Less dictatorial)

     I haven't spent much time in heavily Spanish speaking places, and when I was in Tijuana/San Diego at the beginning of this month, my driver told me she didn't know how to pronounce my name. 'J' and 'll' sound very different in Spanish settings than English or French settings. 😁 I had never realized, before, that it could be difficult.
