     They announced this thing and preorders sold out immediately. It's 1500 euro plus shipping. The line is probably two years long now - it's just the one guy in russia that's making them

     @Aleums @BustaMarx I am glad this is something being made now. I am so uninterested in tech that has a screen for an interface.

     I'm guessing those are just the current commodity tape guts.

     Actually I take that back looking at the little screws on the tape head and that latch thing.

     @pkw @BustaMarx yeah if this is a bespoke transport mechanism, that's huge and I am frankly surprised that the price tag isn't higher because of it. He may also have just found a trove of NOS mechanisms, or he could be harvesting a common older one.

     @Aleums my only issue with it i can see just based on the pictures is its using the Same God Damn Mech That Every New Tape Deck Uses !!! i need someone to design a new mass producible mech thats better. bottom of my maslow hierarchy. tired of The Only Mech
