@mds2 almost all fish head soups in southeast and South Asia are made with Spanish mackerel or similar type. Mercury levels seem lower than other fish

  Question for mastodon in general, but also the sort of thing that @skinnylatte might be more likely to know : which commercial fish make good fish head soup, yet are also low in mercury? Am I looking for really big plankton eaters if I'm trying to find something that fits this criteria?
