I wrote 5 articles on my blog this year, compared to 3 in 2023 so I'm heading in the right direction. I'm going to try to do better in 2025, I used to write closer to 10+ a year at one point. Short form social media is too easy to do instead but it's not a good place to put actually useful information that might be valid for more than a day or two

Nikita Lisitsa (lisyarus@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Wednesday, 18-Dec-2024 01:16:43 JST Nikita Lisitsa @sinbad I did an overwhelming 14 last year, and 9 this year of which 6 are part of a series (which I guess counts as separate articles?), though I'm planning to still have one or two more by the end of the year
I've noticed that I have much less energy and fewer ideas on what to write this year, though

The Seven Voyages Of Steve (sinbad@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Wednesday, 18-Dec-2024 01:25:29 JST The Seven Voyages Of Steve @lisyarus I think it ebbs and flows, and you have to do it when you're in the mood. I had a bunch of rough notes in my Obsidian that I thought would make good blog posts, but I never got around to it and the longer it was since I was directly working in that area the less drive I had to write them up. So the last couple of things I've tried to write up while they're still fresh, that seems to help

Aras Pranckevičius (aras@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Wednesday, 18-Dec-2024 04:14:43 JST Aras Pranckevičius @sinbad 9 this year, where do I get my prize? (though 14 last year... however 10 of those was a series so probably does not count)
