I wish folks on Mastodon understood how breaking monster threads are. They put giant load on instance servers and client devices every time someone clicks to load a post in the thread. Especially with media.

Ideally, the first response will contain the first post in the thread, which will allow people who want to read the whole thread the possibility to start from the beginning
