     @k @hidden @lanodan That's how I felt initially, but after a while I started having favourite mods, favourite machines, favourite blocks etc. and trying to get to them in Expert mode became fun

     @druid @hidden @lanodan I didn't like mods bc they deviate so much from the fundamental goals of the game. Like I'm just not going to grind for 50 hours to make a super furnace just so I can use gigachad armor. I want to build a house bro.

     @lanodan For me the game peaked with FTB Infinity Evolved for 1.7.10, but I'm actually literally firing up 1.21.3 right now to play with my SISTER @hidden

     Well for me mods, specially FTB ones are pretty cool in the sort of "I'm going to build wicked factory shit" like some kind of mad scientist.
     
     Wicked being an important keyword, like pretty sure it's why I'm not much into factorio, it's too restrictive.
     
     Other part that I quite like about mods is having more mobs, either to add more challenge or add more cute animals.
