   In this morning's #FRZ misadventure, the cat knocked a decorative candle off a shelf, which bounced perfectly against the UPS powering the database server and yanked the plug out of the wall. We're back up now.

     @case There are nice financial and legal advantages to hosting it in your own house, but sometimes you've gotta deal with the cats, to be sure.

     also, part of what i love about the fediverse.

     you wouldn't see meta or google with an outage report due to a candle/cat.

     cloudflare might have a lava lamp related incident but that isn't as impressive. :)
