@anders @majorlinux That's technically true but maybe practically false. If it's connected to some kind of network service delivering notifications, AIUI it can end up having some sort of handler code run as fast as those network events arrive.

@majorlinux as an iOS developer I just want to let you know that “constantly running in the background” is not actually something that iOS apps are capable of.
If your battery life is worse than usual then I advice that you take a hard look at your screen time. Did it go up?

Downloaded #Apple's #iOS game of the year, #AFKJourney Wednesday.
Played it for a bit then realized it wasn't for me.
Today, I noticed my iPhone battery draining fairly quickly.
Apparently, AFK Journey is constantly running in the background!
Yeah, I didn't need that game in my life...
