   I don’t know who keeps perpetuating the myth that people abroad love Trader Joe’s snacks. I think I might get smacked if I gave them to people as gifts

     Here, have some off brand / house brand versions of American junk food. It doesn’t taste very good.

     The ‘international’ snacks that Trader Joe’s makes are so condescending. I like this thing called Curly Curls or something, and the back of the packet literally says ‘bet you never had lentils as snacks!!’ Well lots of people have had lentils as snacks

     @SnoopJ healthy looking junk food for people who are above junk food; English translations for people who are too scared of / too far from any ‘ethnic’ grocer

     I get why they’re popular but they really infuriate me sometimes

     @timrichards I’m always sad about junk food here. I LOVE junk food. I just eat so little of it because I so dislike American junk food. The flavors just aren’t right. It’s just sweet and nothing else. I would like more savory flavors and fat in my junk food.

     @skinnylatte And even that isn't very good, in my experience. Except stuff involving peanut butter and chocolate, that's a brilliant American innovation.
