   Dear commission and council. After today you should do the right thing. End 2022/0155(COD) #Chatcontrol as it has become impossible to save the current approach. Fighting child abuse is too important. Let this monster you've created die in peace and start fresh with a narrow, focused proposal that respects privacy as that is a pillar of trust.

     @jwildeboer @EUCommission I may be too cynical, but what if child protection is not at all the goal of #ChatControl ? What if this proposal is simply meant to block work on a real solution?
     As a bonus, there is some chance of breaking into privacy…
