By the way, the lisp stuff you're seeing is the minimal direct exposure of the condition handling protocol. When we talk about using slime or sly or slimv, those use this protocol internally to create their debugging experience. But fear not. Since you're using clim already, clim has inspector (asdf:load-system :clouseau)

but hey, it's still weird: if you have no conflicts, it shouldn't error at all? you cd just :use :use :use to your heart's content.
(i suffered quite a bit w getting going due to useless pkging related errors, until i found my 1 mousey little way that works..., sigh)
