      @billseitz I think that LegendusMaximus in lambda told me they got the seminar room prototype from mediamoo. They probably told me more but it's too hot for thinking these days

      @screwtape @mtraven23 @asb I wonder whether something like MOOSE Crossing would still be a viable gateway to having people learn programming....

        MOOSE Crossing
        MOOSE Crossing was an educational MOO (a type of MUD, a text-based virtual world) developed by Amy S. Bruckman in 1996 as her doctoral dissertation work.[1] It employed a constructionist learning pedagogical approach and was designed for teaching children 9 to 13 years of age.[2] Bruckman's work on MOOSE Crossing and MediaMOO was called "the most notable MOO research in education".[3] The MOO closed in 2007 after 11 years online.[4] MOOSE Crossing used specialized client software, called MacMOOS

        Marvin Minsky has passed on, to use a phrasing I feel pretty confident that he՚d dislike. He was a thoroughgoing materialist, so according t...

      @billseitz @screwtape I doubt it but you could ask ASB. Have contemplated a new LLM powered virtual Marvin but not sure he would approve.

      @mtraven23 @billseitz
      Thanks!

      Anyone have a convenient @ dump of virtual Marvin? #lambdaMOO #mediaMOO

      or cobot the self-programming community robot for that matter.

      By the way, do you have a hint on his work intersecting with Erik Sandewall's eventual Leonardo System? (He was at Linkoping, but a year - I want to say, 1976 visiting MIT).

      @screwtape @billseitz Not really. I see Sandewall is cited in Minsky's classic Frames paper. https://dspace.mit.edu/bitstream/handle/1721.1/6089/AIM-306.pdf?%2520sequence%3D2
