I tried to figure out what "grey tribe" meant after William Gillis mentioned it, began reading an unrelated but self-recommended article on Slate Star Codex, and I have never been so bored in my life. Read, scroll, read, scroll, scroll, leave the page not through conscious decision but by some kind of lizard brain reflex.

I feel like in the US there is a group of people who sometimes write for C4SS who are the only anarchists or anarchist adjacents who can bear to keep up with what's going on in the American "libertarian" scene. I sometimes joke with @KevinCarson1 that his denunciations of articles in it make him the last person who actually reads _Reason_.

Basically it's not use a USian libertarian / techie thing. It's over here too

I'd be curious as well.
The "Gray Tribe" thing is *relatively* new to me, in as much as I recognise the term, but have never had the inclination to look much further into it.
I *think* I get it - looks very much like that guy from EFF (? I've blanked on his name) that went off the rails about how "wokeness" is ruining tech and the "important conversations around it", but that impression is based more on vibes than anything solid, right now.
